Apprentices in the Spotlight

In today's fast-paced working world, qualified employees are the backbone of every successful company. Education plays a crucial role, but the search for skilled workers is becoming increasingly challenging, underscoring the necessity to invest in the training of young talents. At Metreg Technologies and Gastechnik Kirchner, we aim not only to impart knowledge through education but also to actively contribute to solving the skilled labor shortage. We would like to introduce you to two of our dedicated apprentices who are passionately pursuing their education at Gastechnik Kirchner and Metreg Technologies.

Alex Kluge: From Civil Engineer to Mechatronics Technician

Alex is a true polymath. After completing his high school education, he pursued civil engineering but later opted for practical training as a mechatronics technician at Metreg Technologies.

Having worked for Gastechnik Kirchner during his studies, he is familiar not only with the structures but also with his colleagues. He is now in his second year and is involved in the manufacturing process. Here, he takes on responsible tasks such as parameterizing electronic gas meters, assembling quantity converters, wiring and programming, assisting the repair team with diagnostics and repairs, and assembling and wiring communication boxes for gas systems.

In his free time, Alex is an avid football fan, passionately supporting his favorite team, VfB Stuttgart. He enjoys spending time with friends, striking a balanced harmony between work and leisure.

Adrian Rammler: Aspiring Warehouse Specialist

For Adrian, the path to becoming a warehouse specialist at Gastechnik Kirchner was a spontaneous decision. Originally aspiring to become an IT specialist, he opted for this training opportunity with us. Since September 2023, he has been a valuable part of our team and has no regrets!

Adrian is highly motivated and sees his apprenticeship as a stepping stone for a successful career. With us, he not only learns the ropes of being a warehouse specialist but also has the opportunity to pursue additional training as a logistics specialist.

Within the company, he is involved in various logistics areas, from shipping, freight notifications, and inventory checks to picking and packing. Additionally, he supports our gas meter team in assembling gas meters.

Beyond his apprenticeship, Adrian is a passionate model builder and gamer – a perfect complement to his technical interests!

We are proud to have such dedicated and talented young individuals with us and look forward to continuing to support them on their journey. Their enthusiasm and dedication serve as an inspiration to us all.
